Diamond and Rust

Last Sunday I realized there is nothing better than exercising the body in good company. I must say, it was probably one of my best days here in Athens. That is for many reasons, but mainly because besides the good company, I saw so many beautiful places, and not to mention the precious moments – some of which I could capture with my camera.

Here's how everything started:

I was in need of good company for my bike ridings. I mean, being with someone you have no intimate connections can be nice, but you have to admit that intimacy is rather good. So I went around Athens looking for that good connection – not that I went “hunting”, but you know, whenever I had time, I would enter a bike place and talk to people. I met John.

John is this big guy who teaches rescue, diving and I don't know what other kinds of lessons. He is a really good guy, and I trusted him since the very first moment we started chatting. He ended up introducing me to Diamond. Then it was not only about trust, it was love at first sight! I knew then, with Diamond my future would be bright. Connection established. No more to say.

We went for a nice ride on Sunday; two hours of good music – thanks to Ana Paula and Alex1 – fresh air, sun light, and good thoughts. It was the same old bike rout, but it was different: I had Diamond. All the way to the beginning – or the end, depending on where you start from! - after Lowe's, and then we went to the other direction; don't know how far. When one has good company, time and distance doesn't really matter; one stays because it is worth it, one goes as far as one feels like, because it is all about spending quality time together.

The sights were marvelous. There is perfection: nature. A spectacle. That is what Diamond and I watched. We crossed bridges, we went into the woods, we saw old trains. Sometimes I had to carry Diamond, but most of the times, Diamond carried me. Even when the road was hard, bumpy, and sometimes muddy, we never gave up; it can be difficult sometimes, but we knew that together everything would end up fine.

Tired I was – to tell you the truth, it was a pain in the but, literally! Couldn't sit straight for the rest of the day – but my soul clean and rested, we decided to head back home.

I say: no more words. Enjoy nature. Let's love quality time together!

Now that you know Diamond, you are probably asking yourself about rust. If you do ask yourself, that is because you are still too young to understand about joints, I mean, rust! Yeah, not only the trains become rusted.

Um beijo!
