Cirque du Soleil - Alegria

It amazes me how flexible a body can be. While Hannah and I where sitting there astonished and speechless, bodies flew over the stage. The dancers - they seemed to have many legs - were flying in the rhythm of a sweet female voice. I had the feeling they danced literally under the music that came from an angel.

Of course there were some misplaced clowns in the scene. It wouldn't be a circus without them. I particularly don't enjoy their games, but I do respect their capacity of making people laugh their lungs out. At least the lady beside me seemed to be doing so. She laughed so hard she coughed when they were done.

Then came a ballet on strings. A man was hanging, as if from a bungee jump, dancing, jumping, pirouetting, and enchanting the tent. The sound of surprise broke the silence when elastic beds became the floor for the dancers. Dancers? More than that, they were all artists standing not only on their feet, they could stand on only one hand, on strings, or on long sticks. Their bodies were sculptures that amazed me. How can they move like that?

Bellow, there is a link to the official website.
